1. What does your deviantart name mean and why?
"DrowElfRocker". Drow Elf Rocker. It was just a random description for my art rather than a name, that I thought up on the spot when I first joined DA.

2. What fandom where you obsessed with when you joined and what are you obsessed with now:
Errrrr...lessee...I've never exactly been one of these "fandom" people...although I do fan-art occasionally. When I joined, though, Baldurs Gate was my big thing that I liked. (I still like it, of course - still my Best Game Evar, but I'm less obsessed now.) I honestly don't know what my "fandom" is now (too busy working my ass off on building my own universe) but I'm very keen on 1) D&D in general and 2) Watchmen.

4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA?
These days my favourite artists are (whose book I have seen in Forbidden Planet and will buy as soon as I get a Money), , who makes awesome costumes, armour, and the like, and whose artwork is delightfully strange. And she made Squishy the Neurotransmitter!

5. Do you comment, fav, or both?
I try to do both; however, my deliriously sleepy late-night "LET'S FIND AWESOME THINGS!" crawls has led to some fave-bombing.

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?
Mainly just although this month I have been too busy to enter the contest.

7. What is your most popular deviation?
My Spiderweb Brushes [link] which have proved more popular than I had ever anticipated. (2222 downloads!)

8. What are you favorite non-anime TV shows?
House, M.D., Red Dwarf, South Park, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, the live-action version of GTO (based on an anime/manga, but is a live-action show.)

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Hands. Sod it, hands are such a pain to draw, but such a very, very important part of the human body that there's only so many times you can avoid drawing them. Also women. I find men really easy to draw because they're basically square, but women are such an odd shape, structurally, that it's a pain in the ass to get right without her looking distorted.

10. Summer or winter?
Summer. I am really enjoying this time of year.

11. Rain or Sun?
Sun, so long as I don't have to stand directly in it. Rainy days have a tendency to trip my "sad" switch.

12. What's your favorite type of music?
80s hair metal. Call it cheesy, but it kicks ass.

PC.

Either. It essentially boils down to the question "reading comics or watching cartoons?" and they're both enjoyable for me.

Read. I don't even have a TV.

A couple. I'm out most of the day, and tend not to sit online very much except in the evenings.

Back in the days when I did kickboxing, I could kick the ass of somebody twice my size.

19. Flash or traditional cartoons?
Either? Flash cartoons have a quirky "home made, for-the-internet, made by a guy just like you" quality to them that traditional cartoons on TV don't have, but the ones on TV are often of better quality as a result of this.

Quiznos. I like sammitches.

The Colour of Magic (Discworld), Insurrection (War of the Spider Queen), K-Pax.

Playstation has more good games on it, but the Wii has the added fun of flailing.

Facebook (really only to keep track of my friends and their parties), Gaia (although I seldom visit these days), my uni's Gamesoc forum, and Twitter (for its pointlessness.)

Not frequently, although I LARPed as one of my own characters (dear old Adrotha) once, with resounding success.

Yes

A few times. The most fun time was when I was like...10? I was in Wales, and it was a fairly stormy day. My mum was worried about me catching a cold but I was having the time of my life.

Yes, I love it and wish the town where I now live had an ice rink more than once a year.

Shanghai was awesome.

My friends went to Japan last year and it sounded awesome, I wish I coulda gone. Also, I'd like to go to NZ, various bits of America, and Australia. Also Germany again. I like their food.

Variably, an astronaut, a professional writer, a vet, or a big green frog.

No idea about a long-term career. I aim to do a Masters in Philosophy next year, maybe a PhD after that and become a lecturer in it if I still like studying after all this time :lauhging:. I'd also like to see about getting some art commissions in the near future...is it that much of a laughable idea?

Right now, I just want to go to our local pub with my friends and eat nachos.

As awesome as he is, Dr. Manhattan because he might give me cancer

When I'm in the pub, and people ask me what I do, and I tell them I'm a student, and they ask what I study, and I tell them Philosophy...then they get a big grin and ask "what's the meaning of life, then?" like they think it's the most original joke ever. At that point I usually tell them I'm into aesthetics and leave.
